Educational Qualification & Monthly Stipend:
- Technical Stream: B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electricals, Electronics & Communications, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
Stipend: ₹15,000/- per month. - Non-Technical Stream: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Commerce, Administration, or relevant general disciplines.
Stipend: ₹12,300/- per month. - Performance Incentive: The Screening-cum-Selection Committee may enhance the monthly stipend up to ₹20,000/- based on performance in the interview.
- Passing Year Benchmark: Only candidates who completed their qualifying Degree/Diploma in June 2021 or thereafter are eligible.
- Prior Training: Candidates who have already undergone or are undergoing apprenticeship training in STPI or any other organization are not eligible.
Age Limits & Relaxations (as on 14/09/2026):
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age (UR): 27 years
- OBC Candidates: Up to 30 years (3 years relaxation)
- SC / ST Candidates: Up to 32 years (5 years relaxation)
Selection & Stipend Disbursement Mode:
- Selection will be made through direct interview and academic shortlisting.
- Stipends are disbursed through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism directly to the apprentice's bank account linked via the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.
Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for STPI Apprenticeship
Candidates must first register on the Ministry of Education's NATS portal before applying on the official STPI website.
Step 1: Enrollment on NATS Portal (nats.education.gov.in)
- Navigate to the official NATS portal and open the 'Student' registration section.
- Complete the enrollment by filling in personal details, contact data, and photo identification.
- Enter graduation degree details, university information, year of passing, and CGPA/marks.
- Provide active bank account details (Bank Name, Account Number, IFSC code) to enable Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) stipend payments.
- Submit the form to generate your 16-digit unique Student NATS Enrolment ID.
Step 2: Submission on STPI Portal (stpi.in)
- Visit the official STPI website and navigate to the Careers section.
